Green Carpet, Red Dress

The last couple years have seen an awakening of Green Style on Red Carpets. Not just actresses but also wives of actors are using their moments under the Star Lights to bring attention to ethical fashion and their favorite charity causes.

British actor Colin Firth's wife, Livia, even maintains a blog hosted on Vogue that discusses her favorite [ethical fashion] finds and also some resale and London Pop Up shops where you can purchase dresses that have been worn by her on Red Carpets. Including a dress worn on her recent walk down the Academy Awards Red Carpet with husband Colin.

At last week's Golden Globes, The Social Network took home 4 honors and the Weinstein-backed King's Speech, produced by Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Gareth Unwin, stammered. However film's star, Colin Firth, won the Best Actor award.

The Producer's Guild Best Produced Film has coincided with the Academy Best Picture three times out of the past three years.

Academy Award nominations will be announced on Tuesday

"Waiting for Superman," won best produced documentary, a film that details the failures of the U.S. educational system.

Best TV drama was won by AMC's "Mad Men." Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser is so eco-friendly, he still prefers taking the bus to work - in Los Angeles! And Mad Men maintains a green film set...

Actor Sean Penn was honored by the Producers Guild with the Stanley Kramer Award for his work in social issues, including his recent relief efforts in earthquake-struck Haiti.
